The Role

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for an Associate Brand Manager to join our team.  This role will be responsible for successfully marketing Galen’s promoted brands via strategic brand planning.
Working closely with cross-functional teams to help develop strategic marketing plans, the role holder will implement robust plans in conjunction with key personnel across marketing, medical, regulatory, commercial operations, finance and sales management.
The Associate Brand Manager will work with selected Galen partner companies, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
 

Essential Criteria
 
To apply for this position, you must hold a Degree or equivalent level qualification and be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience in a marketing/ commercial organisation which will include experience in developing and/or implementing strategic and tactical plans

The Role
Working as part of the Business Development team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, this is a great opportunity to join a privately-owned, global pharmaceutical company in an important role that has responsibility for carrying out a range of activities aimed at supporting the business development department.

The company is looking for a commercially aware individual with the ability to perform a broad range of business skills, including market analysis, development of marketing plans and project management. Based from our Global head office in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, this role will report to the Commercial Alliance Manager, but will support both licensing and development activities in relation to new product opportunities, as well as working with our established base of partners around the world. It is expected that the role will require a high level of communication and cooperation internally with personnel in the commercial, logistics, marketing, finance, legal and regulatory departments to deliver success.

Essential Criteria

  • Either a relevant life science/business degree (or above), or alternative degree combined with experience working within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Full driving licence
  • Relevant experience in a commercial role, including experience in marketing, market/data analysis, project management or customer service
  • Demonstrates good commercial acumen and track record of achieving targets

Desirable Criteria
(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)
  • Previous experience in a similar role with responsibility for supporting business development activities
  • Knowledge and understanding of the workings of the pharmaceutical industry and local/international healthcare systems
  • Experience of working in a small/ medium sized (pharmaceutical) company
  • Experience of working with both specialty and commercial products across a broad range of therapy areas
